Remembering and Taping Into Past Life Skills - Good morning everyone! As you may have noticed already, I have only recently changed the title and URL of my blog to The Time Of Awakening/ The- Time- Of- Awakening.blogspot.com for the simple reason that I've been trying to write more positively in general for months now, but the old title just didn't fit anymore. - A few weeks ago I told you about that older student colleague of mine who - after a concussion and epileptic seizures- started speaking Middle English out of the blue. As incredible as this tale sounds, let me, reassure you, much stranger phenomena have happened in this regard. For instance, I read about an American woman who had traveled to England and got the shock of her life when she suddenly stopped in front of a painting from the 16th century only to be staring at her own face in absolute disbelief. She was so awkwardly glued to her Renaissance reflexion that the tour guide finally started giving her the entire background story to that portrait. When the tourist from the US was absorbing every little detail of that account, something peculiar occurred. At the drop of a hat, she was able to fully recollect that particular lifetime, and at last, she was even correcting the startled guide. - Another young guy from Germany banged his head one day while pursuing one of his routine outdoor athletic activities, collapsed and passed out. After regaining conscience a little later, he complained about a horrific headache, but no serious injuries were detected. Mysteriously, the headaches remained until the day the man went to a party where he sat down at a piano pretending he could play it. Rather hypnotically he began to stare at his two hands as they were dancing across the keyboard and producing a perfect sonata. Utterly confused and highly agitated, he gave it a Da Capo at his friend's house the next night and played just as skilled and effortlessly. The headaches eventually subsided when the man finally started to accept his new fate of playing the piano like a professional pianist. - An Asian boy, who had fallen off a ladder, suddenly remembered old methods of mathematical calculation even though up to that point he'd just been an average student. With the boy now becoming a local celebrity, that ancient and allegedly long- lost gift actually proved to come in quite handy and at the right time since his family had been struggling and just couldn't seem to make ends meet. - During one of her many trips across the Indian Subcontinent a Dutch woman came to a place she instantaneously recalled as surprisingly familiar. The very same evening she partook in a nightly touristy event and ended up being thunderstruck when the local band started playing a melody which she recognized from long ago. A moment later, she felt yanked out of her present reality and placed into a remote existence. Now she was basically observing herself as being the daughter of a poor farmer in rural India of the 1800s listening to that soothing piece of music over and over again. Back home, the woman would frequently listen to that melody, and every time she dug deeper into that one lifetime which she learnt so much about that she finally started to change her whole present life around and found happiness after all. - A British woman suffered from a mysterious virus which attacked her brain and put her into a deep coma. After countless weeks she finally woke up only to find herself speaking with a strong French accent. What's more, she now also spoke French just as fluently as a native. The neurologists had no explanation at hand other than that was indeed rather unusual. You think? How come a human brain is capable of producing foreign pictures, sounds, smells, memories, etc., let alone tapping into languages and other skills and talents it has definitely not acquired in its present existence? Hands down, how could we ever rationally explain the being of young super geniuses, child prodigies and savants? Such and other gifts are not handed out just like this for merely one lifetime but have been learnt, developed and polished over thousands of years throughout many existences as well as during lives. Our subconscious serves as an endless myriad of information which resembles an archive of constant, authentic and unfiltered recordings. Just in theory, all this gathered knowledge could be recalled, reintegrated and reapplied if we wished to. Of course, the question remains here why or rather for what purpose? After all, I am pretty sure, we didn't come into this lifetime completely unequipped. In fact, a lot of our old and safely stored wisdom is no longer needed, called for or just not currently relevant. Tongue in cheek, being a language teacher myself, I do at times wish I were able to just reconnect to my likely rather impressive language pool. My 15th- century Spanish command would finally come back accordingly naturally even though quite dated and probably hard to understand, but still I'd at least be able to read Old Spanish literature and would definitely not put up such a struggle. My laughable 4- year school French knowledge would be momentarily wiped out by my native 1700th language skills, and my English would be immediately and perfectly restored to my American English of the early 1960s. Last but not least, I'd be able to speak perfect Greek and Latin. Speaking of which, at university it was mandatory to take Latin for anyone who studied a Roman language unless you had Latin in school. Let me tell you, I didn't just fall in love with Latin, but for the first time in my back then 21 years, I picked up a new language as easily as pie. That one year made so much fun, and I really enjoyed every single lesson. Now go figure! One thing for sure, Latin is definitely not the easiest language on the planet, and back then I had both hands full with re- learning Spanish and simultaneously juggling English on a much higher level. One last personal note, my husband is indeed a very skilled contractor. When I asked him who had taught him all that knowledge, he just shrugged his shoulders and said that he had somehow always known how to build things from scratch as if he'd been doing that for eons. - Next week, I'd like to introduce the idea of "Parallel Universes" from a spiritual point of view.
