Ein herzliches Willkommen zurück zu meinem Blog! Nun ist es wieder an der Zeit, anlässlich eines neuen Wochenanfangs ein weiteres Thema aufzugreifen. Obwohl es mir immer noch den Magen umdreht, und ich manchmal sogar einen allergischen Ausschlag bekomme, finde ich es wichtig, den rasch um sich greifenden Verfall der englischen Sprache etwas näher zu beleuchten. Englisch ist eine Sprache, die ich der Art wegen, wie sie mir in der Schule und an der Universität beigebracht wurde, sehr schätze. - Okay, legt nun euren Sicherheitsgurt an, und genießt die Fahrt in eine Welt der linguisitischen Ungebildetheit von beispielsloser Dimension. Auf einer Skala von 1 bis 10 würde ich sagen, dass der tägliche Umgang mit Sprache, besonders in diesem Land bereits eine Sieben oder gar Acht erreicht hat. It is time again to tackle another topic for this week, and although it still turns my stomach and sometimes gives me the hives even, I feel I should talk about the rapidly increasing decay of the English language which I truly love the way I was taught it in school and at university. I am quite sure, you have. I think, it goes without saying that this is something we probably all go through once in a while. It is somehow okay to crack jokes about people as long as it does not happen on a regular and offensive base, right? Hallo allerseits! Ein erst kürzlich in den Medien aufgetauchter Bericht hat meine Themenliste hinsichtlich ihrer Priorität etwas auf den Kopf gestellt, und so habe ich kurzerhand beschlossen, heute aus gegebenem Anlass über das Problem der Handhabung von  Sexualtätern in der amerikanischen Gesellschaft zu sprechen. Vor bereits einem Monat hat der Gouverneur des Bundesstaates Arkansas 360 angeblich bloß leicht- gewichtige Verurteilte aus der staatlichen Zuchthausobhut in einem grandiosen und noch nie zuvor dagewesenem Gnadenakt entlassen. Unter diesen glücklichen ehemaligen Knastvögeln befinden sich mehrere Sexualtäter, welchen man die absolute Amnestie ihrer Aktenhistorie versprochen hat! Wozu frage ich mich bloß? Es kann sich hier doch nur um einen ganz schlechten Scherz handeln oder etwa nicht? A current incident, which took place a few weeks ago, put my priority list of topics upside down, consequently I have decided to talk about Sex- Offenders today, and how they are handled by the American society respectively. First of all, let me briefly refer to what aired the news just a couple of days ago. Back in December the governor of Arkansas released 360 allegedly light- weight convicts of a State Penitentiary in an act of clemency. Among those lucky ex- jail birds are several sex- offenders whose records were promised to be cleared entirely due to the pardon. What for, I wonder? To inconspicuously re- include them into society? Someone please tell me that this is nothing but a bad joke! Bluntly speaking, sex- offenders must be ex- and secluded from society forever not just temporarily! Just a few weeks back I learnt on the news about a nine- year old girl from Indiana who had gone missing and had later been fo

No? I cannot blame you because I too had no clue whatsoever. Okay, this is how your identity may get stolen. Social security numbers are usually not cleared but are issued to new recipients by the government. Ein herzliches Hallo und Prosit Neujahr an alle da draußen! Ich hoffe, ihr hattet alle einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr! Ich habe gerade beschlossen, diesen Blog gleichzeitig in Deutsch und vielleicht auch noch in Spanisch zu führen, damit ich auch wirklich soviele Menschen wie nur möglich erreiche. Warum ich mir das alles antue? Nun, ich lebe seit fünfeinhalb Jahren im Land der unbegrenzeten Möglichkeiten, doch im Laufe der Zeit haben sich hier etliche Dinge zugetragen, die ich doch einigermaßen fragwürdig finde. Versteht mich nicht falsch, es ist nicht so, dass manches hier schlechter oder weniger richtig wäre, als sonst wo sondern vielmehr anders. As I mentioned on Christmas Eve, I am planning to post one topic per week. This should give you enough time to read and consider stepping into an open dialogue. This week's post: No certification needed? Why is it that the majority of US states does still not require certifications for certain professions? How come one can still unmolestedly fly under the radar and undisturbedly pursue careers that often guarantee above- average incomes with no certification whatsoever? In Europe for instance, there is just no way to go both being unlicensed and financially well- off. Liability is not just a hollow legal term but the red thread spun through any registered service. On average an apprentice is put through a three- year schooling period before even getting a shot at becoming certified. As a mast
