Heart Versus Mind(I) - With increasing age, the dual forces of God and Satan appear to be edging into my awareness ever the more, and they just keep on manifesting in basically anything in- as well as outside of me. Just the other day, I briefly discussed with a friend, or rather merely scratched the surface of that one significant and rather precarious challenge which every single human being faces throughout their lives. According to that, the question well arises as to where exactly God resides, and where precisely the Devil makes himself feel at home? I think I can state with relative confidence that as THE Creator of ALL that exists just anywhere, He simply can't live anywhere else but within us humans. The Devil, on the other hand, originates in no other than the external spheres only. Thus, in a very literal sense, God has been with each and every living being from the very beginning on, throughout the many eons and up to now - inherently, this is. In contrast, and very much despite his parallel existence, Satan has always inadvertently remained outside of us. Quite like a cold- blooded predator, he premeditates while patiently waiting for the golden opportunity to ultimately leap and sneak his way in through a back- or trapdoor. Bear in mind, he always makes his appearance in full disguise. God Himself naturally comes from a place of love and has therefore nothing to hide or pretend about. He could in fact appear without a stitch on if only our minds had overall not turned so hopelessly filthy yet. And this is actually the root and core of all existing evil - our utterly twisted and perverted minds. The place our sweet Savior dwells in is without the shadow of a doubt our hearts, whereas his opponent, a former angel that had disgracefully fallen, is in dire need of the human mind to wriggle his way in after all. - Okay, just hold it right there for a brief moment as I can hear you instantly question the heart theory most loudly and clearly. Without the heart itself, there would be no life whatsoever. Can we at least agree on that? Only by His will, it starts and stops beating, and solely by His grace, it is filled with the so- called Divine Spark which we all initially share to equal parts. This spark not only describes the drive to survive in general but also forms, and what's more, nurtures the desire to connect with others through unconditional love, empathy, understanding, patience, and compassion. Regardless of any existing differences as far as spiritual advancement and resulting divergences in both moral and ethic progress at soul- level, the foundation of every single heart is unmistakably the expression of God's spark. The individual level of soul development only gives information about how much of the rich soil has already been fertilized. This idea hopefully serves as an explanation sufficient enough as to why some people's hearts appear to be downright overflowing with all the good ingredients of God's kitchen, while others clearly dispose of hearts made of stone. Even the most abominable slaughterer, serial killer, despot, or other life- despising creature holds a soft spot somewhere buried deep inside his soul and dito his heart. Rather needless to mention that the soul, too, is God's master piece to claim sole fame to. In no way, shape or form has the Beelzebub co- ownership over either one, the heart or the soul, and yet, he did manage to most blatantly rise in opposition to not just our but also his former Lord. As a fallen angel, he was initially no match for THE Bearer of Light per Se, and for that reason, he lastly chose to become His opposite force by taking on the role of the Lord of Darkness or rather the Underworld. Believe it or not, as devastating as his influence generally is, his major disadvantage actually lies in the rather vexatious circumstance that both his success and failure stands and falls with whatever disguise he approaches us in. Hands down, he is a true master of deception with respect to acting and changing his masks as he deems necessary. The Prince of Darkness does not shy away from getting his hands on you in such or such manner, and rest assured, he will never give up either. He seeps into our conscious through irresistible bait- and- switch tactics in view of multiple forms of temptation. Those are first sowed outside of us and then cleverly planted on the inside so they can effectively go viral, spin out of control and poison our minds, for good at last. - More about the heart versus the mind next time.
