Rome Wasn't Built In A Day (I)

Rome Wasn't Built In A Day (I) - Welcome back to my blog! - Some days I don't even want to watch the local, let alone the global news anymore with all that negativity that's been infiltrating our lives. However, and this is in fact a great if not the greatest downfall at all, by looking away or trying to block out reality any other way, those energies will not just disappear like that. Lately it seems, more and more folks are expressing their utter disdain and therefore their growing reluctance as far as keeping an eye on how (far) various scenarios are developing. Nothing easier than burying one's head in the sand and just turning into passive yes- men mainly for the sake of avoiding getting and staying in touch with reality. I think, it is our duty as civilians and citizens to keep ourselves updated as to what's going on in general and not just in our proximity. Believe me, what matters on a grand scale, globally this is, matters just as much on a micro level. The good thing about any catastrophic long- term events -which are clearly man- made, I should emphasize here- usually all run their natural course from the very beginning on and take a while until they finally present themselves. After all, Rome wasn't built in a day either! On the downside though, it unfortunately takes just as long if not longer to return to square one, and to fully eradicate its evil roots respectively. Let me demonstrate this phenomenon with the help of a few rather simple and yet entirely different examples. - What's been brewing worldwide presently in terms of social, religious, military and political upheavals is an absolute shame and a far cry from its ideal state and thus needs to be addressed sooner than later. Let's be honest, even though history has always been an excellent teacher as far as instructing us what not to do as to stop war disasters from recurring over and over again, we still could care less. Instead "headstrong" for the wrongest and most evil reasons of all, we, the collective, pardon, accept and even promote the epitome of negative and nihilistic trends such as for instance the process of political regroupings or also the self- chosen freedom of selling a whole nation's soul to the devil by deliberately and conveniently trying to defeat bad with much worse. The problem in both cases, as they are currently unfolding in two different corners of the world, is rooted in our collective denial to look into the nature of such significantly risky developments which by the way are being boldly and audaciously carried out right under our noses, entirely uninhibitedly and most disrespectfully. This massive indifference is working ever the more like the kind of blindfold which is actually asked of us and thus welcome so that certain projects and processes are kept running smoothly under the radar up to the point of final execution. We must not look away ever! The bad guys only get away with such atrocities because overall we still remain too passive. This and no other way the worst dictators and tyrants the world has ever seen have had an easy go at manipulating systems, societies and at times even entire nations. Regardless of generally being called the bearer of bad news or Ms Negative in person, I do see it as my call to point out any major grievance and abuse and to wake people up from their pseudo slumber. You see, the greatest crime is not any of those bad souls' wicked and sick ideas and actions per se but the masses' non- reaction to oppose exactly those and ultimately nip them in the bud. I believe, Albert Einstein put it in different words, but the meaning is pretty much the same. How can any truce seriously and honestly be bedded on the attempt to win over a country which up to this point has been fought tooth and nails but is now miraculously declared fit enough to be crowned an ally? It's fairly easy to predict the outcome of such an endeavor. Whatever notion of truce this is supposed to represent, it can't and won't work. Why not? Well, quite simply because the intentions behind it are anything but good! Why the heck are we so reluctant to learning from history? Are we really that ignorant or are we rather made like that so we can after all be controlled much more easily? No doubt, it's high time that we finally started paying attention, rose to our feet and clearly and determinedly said: "No thank you, we're no longer willing to swallow the bait of living in a world where we are made believe that things happen the way they allegedly do!"

Buy small and local   Hi everybody! - Coming from a tiny country like Austria, one might assume that globalisation is just a phenomenon tailored for larger nations, but no, it has also been affecting us all across Europe. Globalisation itself is of complex nature, and even though I'm not planning to write about globalisation per se today, it somehow dictates our overall shopping behavior by bringing in more and more big box chain stores worldwide which sets the general trend for methodically and eventually putting local small family- run as well as individualists' shops out of business. In the 70ies I remember mom and dad taking us along to a wide range of stores from the baker to the butcher, the grocer's, the florist, the hard ware place, the electrician, the tobacco store, etc. What great memories our weekly trips to the market created for us. There we would hand- pick fresh fruit, produce, and other delicacies. Sometimes we would even get a piece of fruit or a carrot fo...

The Evolution Of The Soul

The Evolution Of The Soul   - Welcome back to my blog! - Today I'd like to focus on the various levels of souls and their different interim steps, respectively. Altogether there are reportedly 35 different steps, 7 per level of which there are 5. Each single step requires at least one whole lifetime to complete, but since several incarnations end prematurely, are terminated too early or are spent in non- physical states, it does in fact take much longer than that to run through all those steps. Running through, I guess, is a poor choice of words in this context as the entire process definitely resembles more of a gradual growth rather than a speedy race, and so it takes well over a hundred lifetimes and spans over thousands of years at best. Just for the (spiritual) records, the soul's existence between lifetimes - periods that usually also take up some time typically used for the soul to return home, its latest life review, being healed and taught, choosing a new life, prepari...

Knock It Off!

Knock It Off!  - Round One. Bam! One punch, and down goes the man or woman. If the setting was a boxing ring, one could cheer about a clean one- strike knock- out and celebrate the victor. Unfortunately, the circumstances could not be any more different. There's no pairing up against each other, and there's certainly no referee to be found either. In fact, reality is quite the opposite with a bunch of teens randomly picking someone, -lately even women- ambushing their latest victims and aiming at knocking them out with a single blow to the head or face. With every new day more incidents are surfacing, well documented thanks to the quickly increasing amount of surveillance and closed- circuit cameras in public places. Those squads of thugs are believed to be primarily teenagers and young folks who are used to roaming the streets and who out of boredom came up with the idea of playing a new sinister and heinous game called "The Knock- Out Game". So, basically anyone wa...
