Natural View

Natural View - As a true fan of chick flicks, I love shows like The Bachelor(ette) which happens to air again. So Monday night as I was watching another episode, my husband, who is not a chick and does not like that kind of TV- entertainment, repeatedly stated how fake the whole nature of such reality shows was. Interestingly, only 20 minutes later or so one of the smart candidates seemingly rather coincidentally eliminated himself from the show by honestly questioning exactly that! Sure enough, this got a chuckle out of me, especially when the bachelorette once more proved only too well how much phoniness was needed to actually turn down this piece of truth and keep the show going. Of course, this is all fake, phony and unnatural! What else? Anyone who acts surprised now must indeed have been living under a rock. As a matter of fact, the whole industrialized world appears to be drowning in a collage of made- up model images giving the illusion of what it would be like if it were only true. We say one thing but often portray a completely different version of our views, beliefs, insights, etc. We say lots of things that we actually don't mean to either beat around the bush or need to avoid at all costs. Our thoughts do generally not line up with our words and much less with our actions, especially not in public. All in all, we are nothing but a hot mess, and I'm not surprised at how many people are snapping like toothpicks these days as a result of those artificial social etiquettes, political correctness and other absurd limitations which in the end all unstoppably lead to a total collapse anyway. For the sake of blending in, most of us try to linguistically and non- verbally behave in specific ways that are socially considered acceptable. Women are supposed to appear seductive and tempting to men because we are still primarily looked at as an easy prey to be toyed with sexually. Lots of females play the part sophisticatedly well often to the point of self- abandonment. More and more guys suffer from an inferior complex because they supposedly don't man up enough to hold up the image of real machismo any longer. Many of the older male generations seriously question the integrity of their younger successors because they consider this a weakness. Children are supposed to be generally well- functioning, intelligent, perfectly straight, slim, and well, normal. What exactly is normal though in a western society that knows only one speed through life and this is full throttle ahead? These are societies in which natural concepts, looks, attitudes and behaviors simply have no room, where fake monetary values have become way more important than spiritual matters, where beauty is just irritatingly skin deep and pseudo talents are sickeningly promoted faster than in the blink of an eye. Rather unnaturally, many of us convert to full- blown hoarding by surrounding ourselves with useless material crap that usually outlives itself at the speed of light. And yet all those possessions we cling to threaten to forever bury us in sheer insignificance and scary shallowness while most sophisticatedly deviating us from finding our true selves. We are genuinely made believe that we indeed have got what it takes to be happy, but the exact opposite is the case. True contentment can't but crumble with nothing underneath but hollow fakeness as its foundation. The worst illusion though, we are pretty much convinced that the world we live in is in fact real. Just stop for a second! You might want to think again the next time you go out and devour your favorite dish how much of it is actually still natural and made and raised from scratch, the next time you enjoy a good beverage you truly thought of as naturally fruity, tangy, sweet, bitter, refreshing, nutty, creamy, etc. Believe it or not, even the majority of today's cheaply mass produced clothes we tend to wear merely consist of fake fabrics often giving us an itch, rashes and other skin irritations. Over all, we have turned into a nauseating fake society with nothing to offer but robotically phony behavior and ridiculously plasticky appearances. As long as we stay on this fake course, there's no chance on earth to ever rid ourselves of all those emotional, mental and of course physical ailments, disturbances, traumas, illnesses, diseases, etc. Truly expressed from a natural point of view this is!
