Follow The Stars (I) - Good morning everyone across the Americas! - Today's esoteric market is clearly inundated with a gazillion ways and means to efficiently point out and read one's Karmic Journey, but sadly the majority turns out to be nothing but fraudulent bait in order to get to our money - the more of it, the better. Astrology, in fact, provides lots of valuable clues with regard to where we came from, what we've learnt so far, what lies ahead of us, and what kind of obstacles we came back for on our way from Karma to Dharma with Karma referring to past actions, and Dharma to anything potentially positive in the future. Actually, natal charts leave us with a great deal of sufficient Karmic indicators and hence offer tremendously exciting and in depth personal analyses. Those hints can be found throughout the entire horoscope starting with the Sun Sign, the Ascendant (AC), the Moon, Chiron, Saturn, Lilith, the Moon Nodes, the IC- MC axis and ending with apparently Retrograde major planets, and last but not least the planetary occupation in the Houses 11 and 12. To a novice of Astrology, this may sound rather overwhelming when it comes to reading and interpreting a birth chart or radix from a Karmic point, and actually it is fairly complex but very rewarding once you start connecting the dots. This type of road map doubtlessly reveals a high degree of density which needs an intuitive and skilled translator in order to credibly convey the most important message of all which is life is always and exclusively about chances and never about punishment. Setbacks along the way are most natural steps in this gigantic and constantly changing learning process. What I personally find most intriguing in the field of Astrology is the vast potential each and every birth radix bears. The soul per Se is so unbelievably full of zest and vigor and all set to seize as many chances as possible during its current lifetime. It truly makes our laughably primitive and self- driven Egos generally look seriously derailed and simply out of tune. Were it for the soul alone, it would most probably get all the items on its agenda done in no time. However, the game is quite obviously an entirely different one. The main challenge lies in the soul arranging itself with the newly acquired one- dimensional and blind- sided Ego and ultimately striking a fair balance in their coexistence. The soul basically stays the same while the Egos are switched out with every new existence and may thus vary dramatically over the countless incarnations. Additionally they are often considerably burdened or rather riddled with genetic conditions, defects, deviations as well as mental disturbances, disorders and diseases. By the way, a person's Ego can also be traced in their birth charts quite easily. - As the ruler planet of the astrological zodiac Cancer, the Moon generally stands for the emotional and subliminal part in us and primarily relates to the principles of mother, soul and home. We look at both the sign and the house hosting the Moon in the natal chart. Let me briefly explain, the 12 Zodiacs are representative for the 12 Houses but often don't sync, so to speak. The 1st House automatically starts with the rising (second) sign or AC and is commonly referred to as House I which according to the traditionally Western approach will always be Aries. However, due to the fact that the sign might easily be a different one, Aries is now basically added a lot of color throughout the other sign and vice verse. Let's say, somebody's first House is Leo, House I can consequently be understood as a nice Leo- Aries menagerie. In other words, the Aries qualities of House I are now primarily Leo like. The original Ego- House Aries is now layered with the regal, generous, narcissistic, action- driven qualities of Leo. The result is a bombastic and pretty explosive mixture of two fire signs. Depending where the Moon is positioned, Sign and House, it gives us a fairly clear idea of what we are made of at soul level - whether we are jolly, superficial, grounded, serious, melancholic, happy, confident, and even young and rather inexperienced or old and advanced. - The Sun, on the other hand, as you might have guessed already, is the exact opposite of the Moon. Showing the conscious as well as the egoistic part in us, the Sun represents the principles of Father, action and play. No wonder, being seen and addressed as male in all Roman languages, the Sun rules the zodiac Leo after all. Unlike Cancer, Leo presents himself as a dominant, egotistic, action- loving and playful mate who loves the lime light just like a proud and self- confident peacock. As a matter of principle, the Sun expresses how we act and the Moon how we feel. - Chiron or Kiron is largely interpreted as the inner healer and teacher and always points out our primordial wounds. Again we need to check the Sign and House Chiron is situated in. Both locations offer precious information about the kind of topics or rather principles which are still badly in need of healing through certain qualities. This is not just very complex in itself but reaches deeply into psychology as well because we're regularly in touch with mythological and archaic themes and principles. The same goes for the sensitive point Lilith or also the Black Moon which represents our inner shadow or Anima. She is the embodiment of the hurt and scorned female side in all of us that principally says NO to anything that might help release that deeply- seated pain. Her position in House and Sign grants us profound insight as where exactly to look for as to heal those affected principles and ultimately reintegrate them. - To be continued next week.
