Follow The Stars (II) - Over the years I've done quite a few astrological sessions, and I've got to say, the majority had come into that clearly anticipating some fortune telling or rather future- perspective oriented readings but ultimately turned out to be genuinely reconciled and highly grateful for what they had got instead. Thank God, only a handful and thus a ridiculously marginal percentage has turned away, obviously too frustrated or bored with my request to stick with me for the purpose of being taught the basics of their own natal charts, so they could at any later point in time fully relate to the entire matter and recall the details. Those few individuals, though quite likely never had the intention nor the serious interest to truly learn about themselves to begin with and as a result wasted both my time and theirs. Astrology is definitely not some kind of shallow party gag or THE tool of accurate fortune- telling but a renowned and insightful science which hasn't been around for thousands of years for no reason. Can astrology predict the future? Yes and no. It clearly points out possible tendencies that are projected in the future, but just like with Tarot cards, the client always acts on free will and either follows the laid- out guidelines or not. It's truly as simple as that! Long ago I came across an antique saying which goes somehow like this: "The stars [planets] don't compel but rather make you inclined to act." Absolutely correct as the planets just create the potential for certain outcomes in the future, if you will, and that's all there is to it. However, as far as thorough personal profiling on a psychological level is concerned, astrology is very well capable of offering the most profound and extensive analysis ever. The way the stars or rather the planets and points are set within one's birth radix plus the aspects they form among themselves as a consequence - which may be anything from positive to neutral and challenging - clearly and reliably reveals all our personal weaknesses, strengths, obstacles and talents. Pretty unmistakably they show what kind of cards you were dealt with respect to health, career, wealth, relationships, etc. Nonetheless, perfectly good health does not imply indestructibility at any cost, just like an originally poor health predisposition does not automatically have to remain such throughout one's lifetime. You see, astrology just presents us with a basic scaffolding. What we do with it is entirely up to our own discretion. By the way, it also shows in our natal chart if we are ambitious enough for changes of exactly that kind or just too laid- back. Our Karmic history is basically our mould, and this makes us the direct product of our own past choices, actions and reactions. Perhaps it now starts making sense that we have not been given obstacles and restrictions just randomly but must have created the consequential surrounding for it beforehand. Therefore poor health is usually an indicator for past neglect, abuse or just total ignorance in health matters. Poverty often signals a form of regulative moderation, temperance or whatever you want to name it. This often comes after lifetimes of deliberate waste, avertable loss or careless conduct regarding financial means and wealth. Broken or strained relationships mainly result from negative Karma in this field, be it among family, friends, colleagues or between lovers. Sometimes the restrictions imposed on us (by ourselves alone) are necessary to harness and hold ourselves back after aimlessly burning through existences too quickly or too recklessly. Unless we ourselves have asked for specific regulations such as physical, emotional or mental disabilities for the very purpose of gaining the highest personal value out of this sort of drastic experience, we usually willingly accept the consequences of our Karma. As an exception, we may very well come into the grace of being granted a good life as a welcome break in an exhausting and demanding series of hard lives, but normally this can be seen as a bonus due to positively generated Karma in the past. A life of hardship, on the other hand, offers the priceless chance to pay off one's Karmic dues one by one based on a conscious choice on soul level before incarnating oneself again. - Last week I talked about the Sun, the Moon, Chiron and Lilith delivering solid information about who we are in regards to Karma, but there's actually a lot more than that. At first, we want to cast a closer look at the two axes, the Ascendent - Descendent or AC - DC (horizontal) and the Imum Coeli - Medium Coeli or IC - MC (vertical). The AC or rising sign gives us a good idea of how we generally present ourselves to the world, whereas the DC refers to its exact polarity and reveals the qualities we don't have but wish we had. Thus our Leo Ascendent would actually prefer to appear in Aquarius clothing as displayed in its Descendent rather than its own Leo attire. The Imum Coeli or IC describes the deepest point within the subconscious half of our birth chart and proves to be a treasure box of past skills and strengths. Its most absolute opposite point lies in the Medium Coeli or MC, the highest point within the conscious hemisphere of our natal radix and refers to the potential to be worked on during one's present lifetime in terms of career and call in life. - Next time I'm going to talk about the Moon Node axis and apparently regressive or retrograde major planets.
