Back to the Source  Good afternoon! What do we believe in nowadays? Lucky you if you can answer this somewhat philosophical question? In fact lots of folks have difficulties doing so for they don't believe in anything truly worthwhile nor in themselves, let alone in any higher force or supreme being. To be honest, at times I am not any different from that bunch of lost souls. In this country you have absolute freedom of religion, which I definitely consider a major improvement and a paramount step into the right direction. The rest of the world can only learn from this, and yet ironically enough, this huge free nation is home to more rootless strays than anywhere else. Why is it that this country hosts all possible denominations in one place but a vast number of churches are abandoned and for sale? Back in the good old days people would go to mass on Sundays no matter what, partly because they had been taught so, and partly because they wanted to. Still 50 years ago religion played a significant role in most people's lives. They had something valuable and worthy to hang on to at all times being not just when life got tough. Kids were baptized and gradually became involved in their families' traditions of answering to their God through their established beliefs. On having to go through turmoils, crises and hardships of all kinds, people wouldn't lose hope or joy in life. Altogether People treated one another much more respectfully and politely as a result of a firm religious foundation. Couples tended to stay together, waiting things out while they were diligently working out their differences. Kids were brought up naturally under the wing of religious education as well. Certain virtues were automatically incorporated in life because this is what all religions are based on. There was generally no such attitude as "Who cares" and way less wildfire like hopelessness. Admittedly, not all was perfect back then, but as long as there was something like religiously indoctrinated values and somebody like God, Jesus, Allah, etc. people felt life was worth being lived purposefully and joyfully. Today you encounter self- centered, selfish, rude, and heartless individuals by the dozens on a daily base. No need to ask about their religious background. I bet there is none left. I myself am not a church goer anymore due to negative experience with some priests, but I believe in my God and always will. We all -especially here- should go back to church regardless of what religion we belong to. If you don't approve of yours, good, then find the one that suits you the best, but please get back to the source of it all. We need to find a valid reason in life and learn why it is so worthwhile spending our time here usefully for ourselves and others. In my religion the Ten Commandments will forever remind me that there is a reason why we should honor these. Just to name a few, don't steal from others -not even their time and effort unless your intentions are pure and good. Don't commit adultery just because you fear, you might miss out on anyone. Don't kill any living being including yourself. Don't lie not even to your own self, but instead embrace life, and show respect first and foremost to your God, then to your parents and everybody else. Compassion, understanding, patience, respect, unselfishness, courtesy, and love are the remedies to cure this No- Future- , I- Give- a Crap-,  and Stay- Away- from Me- Attitude which might ultimately result in a vortex of darkness, nihilistic hopelessness, anger, hatred, and terror. So just get back to the source!

Buy small and local   Hi everybody! - Coming from a tiny country like Austria, one might assume that globalisation is just a phenomenon tailored for larger nations, but no, it has also been affecting us all across Europe. Globalisation itself is of complex nature, and even though I'm not planning to write about globalisation per se today, it somehow dictates our overall shopping behavior by bringing in more and more big box chain stores worldwide which sets the general trend for methodically and eventually putting local small family- run as well as individualists' shops out of business. In the 70ies I remember mom and dad taking us along to a wide range of stores from the baker to the butcher, the grocer's, the florist, the hard ware place, the electrician, the tobacco store, etc. What great memories our weekly trips to the market created for us. There we would hand- pick fresh fruit, produce, and other delicacies. Sometimes we would even get a piece of fruit or a carrot fo...

The Evolution Of The Soul

The Evolution Of The Soul   - Welcome back to my blog! - Today I'd like to focus on the various levels of souls and their different interim steps, respectively. Altogether there are reportedly 35 different steps, 7 per level of which there are 5. Each single step requires at least one whole lifetime to complete, but since several incarnations end prematurely, are terminated too early or are spent in non- physical states, it does in fact take much longer than that to run through all those steps. Running through, I guess, is a poor choice of words in this context as the entire process definitely resembles more of a gradual growth rather than a speedy race, and so it takes well over a hundred lifetimes and spans over thousands of years at best. Just for the (spiritual) records, the soul's existence between lifetimes - periods that usually also take up some time typically used for the soul to return home, its latest life review, being healed and taught, choosing a new life, prepari...
Jung, Dumm Und Gelangweilt   - Ein herzliches Hallo an alle!
