Religious Tolerance Just incredible what a ripple effect one single action by one individual created on the day of the 11th 9/ 11 Anniversary. I think, I'm speaking for a vast majority not just in this country but globally when I express my disgust about what had led to this dangerously fast spreading upheaval in the Islamic world. Needless to say, I do expect this nation to step it up and expedite this bastard who had put this blasphemous video online in which he was clearly mocking, no worse intentionally ridiculing Mohammad and consequently severely offending his followers.
What on earth is wrong with people? Was this really necessary to start a war like this in such an appalling fashion? What a stupid and egocentric asshole! As a result, several Americans got killed in an act of spontaneous and most furious retaliation. Those men got lynched absolutely senselessly over some individual's publicized hate campaign against a religion different from his own. And honestly, at this point does it truly make a difference if the killed men held publicly important places in society such as the US ambassador of Lybia. All those lives were similarly significant and were terminated absolutely uselessly due to one man's ignorance and intolerance towards mankind.
The presidential election is just weeks away, so both major parties are clearly called upon taking immediate action in this matter. If they are clever, they should not just prosecute the culprit, trial and put him in some US jail on a mild 10- year sentence. No, they would indeed be well- advised to get hold of the real one(s) and fly him/ them to Lybia. I am pretty sure, the angered mob there would know what to do with this kind of offender(s). Such a person or group has simply not deserved humane treatment in return for their actions. A biblical reaction such as An Eye For An Eye, and A Tooth For A Tooth would be credible and appropriate. This way the USA would clearly distance themselves politically and ideologically from ever being affiliated to this demeaning way of thinking. Religious tolerance must be taught from an early age on and should be practiced most naturally and compassionately. Even though there may be xenophobias about religious differences, we all need to understand that this is just as much a part of our human diversity as the different races are unique. It's not just inappropriate and hurtful to do parodies on any God but certainly entirely uncalled for and above unnecessarily dangerous. Seriously, we do not need another war just because someone has set their mind to spilling out their disgust for other religions. Even if some world leaders' intention might be to deliberately start a war over an artificially created and pushed up incident, we the people should somehow get a grip on instigated and well- calculated reactions such as massive riots that are quite likely to quickly cause a serious global issue. By becoming more tolerant and accepting of each other in all our diversity and divergences, we shall be fit enough to withstand such blows against humanity. And those who are still out to create harm and hurt the way it happened a few days ago should be excluded from our society to keep the peace within. All religions are equal, and all those senseless wars of the past should be dealt with as reminders that we all should have learnt from by now. History must no longer repeat itself in terms of religious or racial confrontations and conflicts.
