Heart Versus Mind (III) - Hi and welcome back everyone! - My friend outright insisted that I focus a little more on the heart itself this week with special reference to its treacherous and often hardening nature. Let's see: When God breathes Spirit into a fetus which around the 20th week of pregnancy begins to merge with the divine spark, defining the most unique ethereal part, our soul, the growing organism in question is still all pure and unblemished. Although the mind is already present, in rather rudimentary form, it is far from being soiled since not exposed to influences from the outside just yet. Babies, toddlers and infants up to about six years of age are entirely ruled by their hearts. The slate is herewith still clean, so to speak. Eventually, it all slowly begins to change, and more often than not, the scale is about to tip once the concept of duality is embraced and applied. The future development of a youngster so much depends on where his or her soul's to be reincarnated in this lifetime. Very much like assembling a group of actors for a play, we all choose our families, friends, partners, etc. ahead of time in the so- called realms between lives but ultimately fall oblivious to what was before and what we merely caught in few sparse glimpses regarding our potentially sketched- out future. In exactly this sense, our Karmic baggage which we arrive with here primarily sets the tone for this time around. We always pick our surroundings in absolute accordance with our goals which helps us call certain circumstances into life intended to function as life lessons so we can keep bettering ourselves on a soul- level. Bear in mind, though, nothing ever appears to be easily divided or kept apart even but is of rather complicated, dense and complex, in other words, utterly intricate quality! After all, we are required to deal with multiple different types of souls which may or may not share the same spiritual maturity. Relationships range from twin souls/ flames, soul mates, spouses, family to friends, acquaintances, colleagues, foes, and yes, even entire peoples. To both clear and resolve Karmic short- comings which all too naturally present themselves just as diverse and manifold in character as the players and co- players themselves in such and such specifically tailored conditions, it takes a great deal of effort and time. Through the many life- times, a mind may easily be captured and conquered by external impulses that are negative, deceptive, cruel, sadist, destructive, etc. as a result of human interchange only. As mentioned afore, the Devil is known for his tenacity, his perseverance as well as his tireless Siren- like call. He lies in waiting for us to fall into temptation, lust, love (with financial means and power), etc. for once and all. This just keeps going on ceaselessly. Once we decide to give in to that enormously luring pull, we allow Satan to finally move in with us by subletting our sacred quarters, if you will. Surely, just because we are all doomed to unstoppably face the being of polarity, which we brought upon ourselves after having denounced paradisaical life in Eden, in just anything that surrounds us, hardly any grown- up mind is, in fact, still as pure and immaculate as in their very tender beginnings. However, I hope for the majority of us to keep the most evil thoughts in check - willing to give at least 60% of us the healthy benefit of the doubt. Let me put it somewhat differently: Provided we are willing to acknowledge a Supreme Being just like God, furthermore establish a solid relationship with Him and hold onto it dearly, we won't easily lose sight of the divine light both in ourselves and others. Absolutely right, many a heart tends to grow bitter, particularly in times of personal hardship, and in the end, they may even turn hard and stone- cold. All that is real just like heartache is. Nevertheless, none of those features ever arises as a direct consequence of the heart, nor is it ever of naturally treacherous, tricking, deceptive or otherwise kind. Instead a heart may indeed suffer from poisoning solely through mind- driven ideas manifesting themselves in evil, harmful or just fruitless plans and plots. As a matter of fact, by us calling onto God and humbly asking for His guidance, our hearts can be saved, healed and at times even returned to their originally purest state in quite the same fashion as our minds may be unchained and cleansed from all the side- tracking filth and wickedness by His grace.
