Just Ride A Different Wave

Just Ride A Different Wave - Good morning everyone! More snow is on its way to the Northeast, so please stay safe and warm! - What I keep reading on social media such as Facebook and Twitter these days amuses, entertains, surprises, agonizes, appalls, and occasionally even pains me. Apparently we all enjoy to pour out our hearts, put our raw and boundless emotions out there, share our wisdom, anecdotes, painful memories, mishaps, adventures, heartbreaks, pictures, recipes, etc., etc. Some of us love to present themselves witty, funny and are seemingly always ready for puns, hoaxes and laughters while others, quite annoyingly at times, prefer to give way too detailed accounts of daily events, routines and get- togethers. Never mind, all mostly harmless insights into the lives of jokesters, tricksters, loners, and attention- seekers anyways which, as I find, add quite some spice to the whole mix. However, what ticks me off, to put it mildly, are any vicious attacks against known as well as unknown targets launched by low- life scumbags. Acting in an almost bi- polar manner, some surprisingly manage to easily switch in just a little while from praising the good in everyone to drowning themselves in self- pity or bubbling with wrath sometimes on a most inappropriate and uncalled vulgar level. Don't get me wrong, I also love cursing and swearing like a trooper myself, but there shouldn't be any place for such strong profanities on public sites. Sometimes I really believe that using foul language like that must indeed feel like a true momentary salvation to many to temporarily escape all their frustration and boredom in their lives. Shame on those, however,  who hide behind dull synonyms such as "Black Hell" or "Crap Warrior" and lash out against people they dislike, disapprove of, disagree with or just carelessly misjudge. Many times we have come across stupid, heartless, ferocious, most hurtful and demeaning comments posted by losers and addressed to singers, dancers, artists, etc. Does it really help those individuals to become so personal and nasty, I wonder? - Just a couple of days ago, someone who we all know quite well locally got seriously sick. For someone else to respond in a hideous way talking about Karma "being a bitch" in that context, it takes a lot of balls, so to speak, as that someone talks about God all the time, and constantly reminds us of how much we should show true forgiveness. Sorry, but I do not pull along with anyone who just waits for someone else to finally fall on their faces. No matter what who has done to whom, and what I personally think of that, there's just no need whatsoever to call upon Karma as the big avenging angel! Don't forget, by doing so you are creating negative Karma yourself which will eventually come around for you, too. - Another phenomenon that I've observed countless times is the collective effect any dumb hype can produce. Let's say someone complains on FB about something we all have in common one way or another like work, school or government. Someone else starts responding correspondingly negatively and hence calls a conversational thread into life which frequently ends up being kept alive by even more negative comments. This, by the way, is how the masses have been manipulated for the purpose of prosecution, wars and even falls of empires for thousands of years! Stay positive, and keep away from negativity as much as possible. Just think of what it would feel like if you were the ones bullied, belittled, knocked down, etc. Don't ever forget that! "If you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything", a dear friend of mine loves to say.
How right is she?! Please, spare your dumb, thoughtless and most unnecessary comments. Instead turn inwards and fall silent for a change. Don't do what everybody else does, but choose to be different and act more wisely than the majority. Don't let yourself be sucked into that nasty stream of negativity, and don't lower yourself to the same bottom- feeder level. Just ride a different wave!

Buy small and local   Hi everybody! - Coming from a tiny country like Austria, one might assume that globalisation is just a phenomenon tailored for larger nations, but no, it has also been affecting us all across Europe. Globalisation itself is of complex nature, and even though I'm not planning to write about globalisation per se today, it somehow dictates our overall shopping behavior by bringing in more and more big box chain stores worldwide which sets the general trend for methodically and eventually putting local small family- run as well as individualists' shops out of business. In the 70ies I remember mom and dad taking us along to a wide range of stores from the baker to the butcher, the grocer's, the florist, the hard ware place, the electrician, the tobacco store, etc. What great memories our weekly trips to the market created for us. There we would hand- pick fresh fruit, produce, and other delicacies. Sometimes we would even get a piece of fruit or a carrot fo...

The Evolution Of The Soul

The Evolution Of The Soul   - Welcome back to my blog! - Today I'd like to focus on the various levels of souls and their different interim steps, respectively. Altogether there are reportedly 35 different steps, 7 per level of which there are 5. Each single step requires at least one whole lifetime to complete, but since several incarnations end prematurely, are terminated too early or are spent in non- physical states, it does in fact take much longer than that to run through all those steps. Running through, I guess, is a poor choice of words in this context as the entire process definitely resembles more of a gradual growth rather than a speedy race, and so it takes well over a hundred lifetimes and spans over thousands of years at best. Just for the (spiritual) records, the soul's existence between lifetimes - periods that usually also take up some time typically used for the soul to return home, its latest life review, being healed and taught, choosing a new life, prepari...

Knock It Off!

Knock It Off!  - Round One. Bam! One punch, and down goes the man or woman. If the setting was a boxing ring, one could cheer about a clean one- strike knock- out and celebrate the victor. Unfortunately, the circumstances could not be any more different. There's no pairing up against each other, and there's certainly no referee to be found either. In fact, reality is quite the opposite with a bunch of teens randomly picking someone, -lately even women- ambushing their latest victims and aiming at knocking them out with a single blow to the head or face. With every new day more incidents are surfacing, well documented thanks to the quickly increasing amount of surveillance and closed- circuit cameras in public places. Those squads of thugs are believed to be primarily teenagers and young folks who are used to roaming the streets and who out of boredom came up with the idea of playing a new sinister and heinous game called "The Knock- Out Game". So, basically anyone wa...
