To (M)eat Or Not To (M)eat

To (M)eat Or Not To (M)eat - Hello everyone! - The article which I recently stumbled across on Facebook has been terribly upsetting me. I honestly can't think of any other way but grab a pen and bring to your attention what I would best like to just scream about in absolute agony, which is "Stop all that nonsense!" For quite some time, I have been reflecting a lot upon animals basically being entirely at our mercy on the way from breeding, rearing to ultimately slaughtering them. I suppose, this topical hyper- sensitivity mainly results from a generally much quicker and easier access to medially distributed information sharing in this day and age. This way, more and more articles appear to just pop up out of nowhere illustrating the poor treatment of cattle, sheep, horses, pigs, poultry, and game. (To some extent, fish, too, of course). Being a full- fledged carnivore and lover of chicken, I am becoming increasingly aware of how pathetically hypocritical I must sound particularly to vegetarians. Rest assured, though, this is THE crux that I am facing now all over again. Due to that all those Muslim refugees flooding Europe, I just cannot seem to possibly escape the fact that ever the more Halal slaughtering facilities are growing everywhere across the entire continent just like mushrooms, and with those massive medial complaints about their ways of slaughtering are noticed. It is quite commonly known that pictures document issues like these as graphically as nothing else. Learning about something in theory and being given the visuals along with it are two different pairs of shoes, for sure. Anyway, the Halal- method allows animals to be first corralled under the most awful conditions imaginable before savagely slashing their throats and letting them bleed out and perish most painfully without using any anesthesia. No respect whatsoever for those living beings that were created by Allah and God, respectively! I can no longer ban such gruesome photographic impressions from my mind, and the more I am fuelled in the very same manner, the more I want to just scream! By no means, should the killing of animals ever be advocated, pardoned or concurred as something quite normal or agreeable because it is not. Unfortunately, unless God Himself wipes us unbearable species out at last, slaughtering on such an unfathomable mass- scale will impossibly end ever. My heart is aching profoundly regardless of whether home- bred animals are ultimately killed sensibly and respectfully for those attributes will certainly never do it any justice. After all, killing here always implies the termination of lives of innocent creatures that just have no say or right at all as far as defending themselves, and nothing will ever sugar- coat or trivialize the act of murdering. The other morning, another deeply disturbing picture caught my eye and actually delivered just more testimony of how indignifyingly animals are handled on their last journey - in that case once past the EU zone. It showed a cow dangling high from a crane arm somewhere between a peer and a freighter tied by only one leg. What the hell is wrong with us humans? Do we honestly believe that we will get away unpunished committing such appallingly inhumanity towards Gods creatures? I truly feel like throwing up right into those brutes' faces! Do you actually have any idea about the animals' energies being stored in their bodies the very same way they are transformed while having to go through such an incredibly reckless degree of stress, panic and pain? Have you ever pondered over what the impact of such high levels of toxic energy does on the human body? If your answer is a positive one, then you are guessing correctly. And you know what, if this it what we deem as indispensable, all those piles of meat on our plates, unrestrictedly and at any time, we need to also learn to accept the simple truth that we shall exactly be served what we deserve. Call it Karma, if you will, but bad or rather negative energies can lastly only create the very same calling for a wide range of ailments, illnesses (including mental disorders!), and would you believe it, even rage, anxieties and stress. Just anything spiritually counter- productive is consequently going to manifest and unfold within us. In that sense, bon appétit, mes amis!

Buy small and local   Hi everybody! - Coming from a tiny country like Austria, one might assume that globalisation is just a phenomenon tailored for larger nations, but no, it has also been affecting us all across Europe. Globalisation itself is of complex nature, and even though I'm not planning to write about globalisation per se today, it somehow dictates our overall shopping behavior by bringing in more and more big box chain stores worldwide which sets the general trend for methodically and eventually putting local small family- run as well as individualists' shops out of business. In the 70ies I remember mom and dad taking us along to a wide range of stores from the baker to the butcher, the grocer's, the florist, the hard ware place, the electrician, the tobacco store, etc. What great memories our weekly trips to the market created for us. There we would hand- pick fresh fruit, produce, and other delicacies. Sometimes we would even get a piece of fruit or a carrot fo...

The Evolution Of The Soul

The Evolution Of The Soul   - Welcome back to my blog! - Today I'd like to focus on the various levels of souls and their different interim steps, respectively. Altogether there are reportedly 35 different steps, 7 per level of which there are 5. Each single step requires at least one whole lifetime to complete, but since several incarnations end prematurely, are terminated too early or are spent in non- physical states, it does in fact take much longer than that to run through all those steps. Running through, I guess, is a poor choice of words in this context as the entire process definitely resembles more of a gradual growth rather than a speedy race, and so it takes well over a hundred lifetimes and spans over thousands of years at best. Just for the (spiritual) records, the soul's existence between lifetimes - periods that usually also take up some time typically used for the soul to return home, its latest life review, being healed and taught, choosing a new life, prepari...

Knock It Off!

Knock It Off!  - Round One. Bam! One punch, and down goes the man or woman. If the setting was a boxing ring, one could cheer about a clean one- strike knock- out and celebrate the victor. Unfortunately, the circumstances could not be any more different. There's no pairing up against each other, and there's certainly no referee to be found either. In fact, reality is quite the opposite with a bunch of teens randomly picking someone, -lately even women- ambushing their latest victims and aiming at knocking them out with a single blow to the head or face. With every new day more incidents are surfacing, well documented thanks to the quickly increasing amount of surveillance and closed- circuit cameras in public places. Those squads of thugs are believed to be primarily teenagers and young folks who are used to roaming the streets and who out of boredom came up with the idea of playing a new sinister and heinous game called "The Knock- Out Game". So, basically anyone wa...
