BS Left And Right - Welcome back to my blog! - I simply cannot fathom all the BS that's been going on lately. I honestly didn't know if I should just blurt out laughing hysterically or scream in pain over what was on the news last week. In one of the giant local schools parents were in all earnest summoned to vote for the introduction of a Transgender bathroom facility. What on earth is this supposed to be? No surprise here that a least a few of the parents were all up in arms. Those who suggest and firmly support that idea seriously believe that a gender- confused or - disoriented teenager should - beyond all the existing amount of bullying - be given a fair option to use a restroom which is neither strictly marked for males or for females but - well - entirely neutral. Seriously, what were those geniuses thinking, if anything at all? Unreal, if you ask me! I really understand and tolerate a lot, and I generally consider myself pretty open- minded, but too much is just too much. If someone is confused about their sex, it usually hits them the hardest in their adolescence as they are most vulnerable, insecure and mixed up during their teens. To provide a few gender- undefined individuals with their own toilets would definitely increase their overall level of suffering. In times where someone is openly bullied and publicly shunned over a few excessive pounds or some other dumb superficial flaw as much as never before, a step like this one would ultimately deliver the coup de grâce. I just don't understand this society! Aren't there any highly qualified and experienced school psychologists that could help out here? What's more, I'm still waiting for the great public outcry, but with respect to that, it's beginning to look rather bleak altogether. Judging from that awkward silence, I'm actually expecting plenty of grave problems that are in store for America's society. - Now, to something entirely different but equally annoying. Since we're part of the 50 million minority of Americans that still fair along without any health care insurance, and because there are progressively higher penalties and fines underway for all of us, we just tried to log on to the by now world- famous "Healthcare Marketplace" as far as being the national failure # 1 again. Quite apparently, this is not our first Rodeo, but due to that web page turning out to be anything but stable and prone to crashing on a whim and consequently remaining aggravatingly inactive for longer periods of time, we, too, got kicked out whereupon all our submitted data simply got lost. On attempting to somehow desperately getting back on board, in the end, the so promising Arche Noah completely sank in the raging waves of the US- healthcare bureaucratic obstacle course. Not enough, rather surprisingly sarcastic on top beside all that cool superficiality of being handled almost like a numbered prison inmate, it merely read: "We're sorry for the inconvenience. Please, try again later." Of course, this occurred rather conveniently right past the official deadline, and so we ended up with UGATZ! Okay, for this specific reason, we started the very same process much earlier this year, but guess what, it's still not working! I'm not really surprised, but the way they make you repeat the whole ordeal multiple times without saving any of the many interim steps has left me dumbfounded, to say the least. "WTF" is what I'd feel yelling out all day long! Where are those phenomenal computer geeks to fix those enervating frequent system crashes? On second thought, though, perhaps this is exactly what they want, confusion and nothing but confusion. I'm going to spare you the details about how tricky and difficult they make it for applicants to choose the correct answers. Only that much: We wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of our tax consultant. Well, what does this tell you? And now get this, allegedly because our submitted data does NOT match theirs (Really? Why even bother and ask for it again!), our case is currently under closer review. It would not surprise me if we got rejected again that close before the finish line right after this year's deadline, and if we were fined the second year in a row. TO BE CONTINUED.
